In the Subordinate Court _Uncle Herby"s Dog Training Center

I had problems with Herby’s Dog Training Center . I took them to the small claims court and won (by default judgment) $600 compensation plus $15 disbursements costs on 24 Sept 2008

Judgment is entered against a non-appearing party. Heavy rain and traffic jam is not a good cause for the respondent NOT having attended the hearing.

However before I could enforce the order I received NOTICE OF HEARING OF APPLICATION TO SET-ASIDE –ORDER on 21 October 2008 . Reason given by Respondent was :-
“ I was late because I was caught in a Traffic Jam. Raining heavily “

Come on, We all reside in Singapore I braved the rain and attended the hearing after waiting for more than an hour.

Are you saying … Judgment is entered against a non-appearing party after a month down the road you can file NOTICE of hearing to set –aside-Order ??

Such lame excuses are a mere waste of Court time and country resources.

On 13/3/08 I entered into an agreement with Uncle Herby's Dog Training Centre to train two Jack Russells by expert 10 sessions . He was supposed to provide toilet train and basic obedience for my two dogs . On the 10 sessions he requested that I extend the training with additional charges of which I refused. Till to-date , the dog has been shitting and urinating all over the house and take no basic instructions like sit,down,heel etc. He merely drop by my house and bring the 2 dogs out for a walk .When my sons and maid ask him what can the dog do after the 9th lessons he was rude enough to say " DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO" . I met him on 04/04/08 he ask for addition money in order to train the dog further of which I refused as the dogs are as good as not TRAINED . I called him on 28/04/08 for some remedial action but he challenges me to file a complaint.A record was kept by my maid on what he does for the 10 sessions.
