AMAZING TOYKO



Japan is three times more densely populated than Europe as a whole and twelve times more densely populated than the United States. Area slightly smaller than California. Population of 127 million people !


Travelling Responsibility

Our journey’s purpose was a 7 day’s holiday in Japan. .Gerald and Darrel will inevitably come away a better citizen of the world, enlightened about the people and cultures that compose the tapestry of their age. Travel encourages them to broaden their minds, to learn the different that serve as a gentle reminder of the vast scope of modem humanity.

Local and traditional values are being subsumed by globalization. We eat in local Japanese restaurants and eating houses buy their local produce. By doing so we are supporting the regional economy and culture, but also provide counterweight to the growing influence of multinationals. We have the opportunity to experience the Japanese cultural lifestyles etc. WTF …

Asakusa Kannon Temple is a Buddhist temple located in Asakusa , the center of the shitamachi . it is Tokyo’s oldest temple.




Nakamise Shopping Street
The Nakamise shopping street stretches over approximately 250 meters from Kannon Temple to the main grounds of Sensoji Temple. It is lined by more than 300 tiny little shops, which offer local specialties and the usual array of tourist souvenirs

When we arrived at Tokyo Disneyland it was jammed packed with people and we waited more than ½ hour just to buy our tickets. Cost JPY 5,800 [S$74.25] per adult. The hotel arranged for bus pickup to the park and return on the same bus at appx. 4pm.





Akihabara is the electronics capital of Japan.With a good range of export models and DUTY FREE shops for computers parts and gaming machines.

Harajuku is on the Yamanote Line in the Shibuya of Tokyo, Japan. The area is known internationally for its youth style and fashion. Takeshita-dōri. - caters to youth fashions and has many small stores selling hip-hop, and punk outfits, in addition to fast food outlets . Gerald brought most of his clothing’s here.






Tsukiji Fish Market, Tokyo

Tsukiji Central Wholesale Market is a large wholesale market for fish, fruit and vegetables in central Tokyo. It is the most famous of over ten wholesale markets that handle the collection and distribution of fruit, vegetables, flowers, meat and fish in Tokyo. Tsukiji Market is best known as one of the world's largest fish markets.

LEFT TOKYO ON FRI 19 OCT 2007

Up at 4am for breakfast and Jurin Coffee House and checkout of the hotel and took the airport bus at Keio Plaza Hotel.. Journey to airport was about 2 hours!




From Singapore to Toyko you have to look out for Platform 11 bus ride to the airport .


Visited TOKYO from Sat 13 Oct 2007 to Fri 19 Oct 2007 ( 7 days minus 2 days flying = 5 days)
