We've all sort of known that Windows 7 would be released in 2009, but Microsoft made the firmest statements to date on the topic. In a technical session on Thursday, the company outlined that Windows 7 software would ship mid-year 2009 with pre-configured Windows 7 systems shipping in time for the 2009 holiday season. (Note, the company still hedges a bit by saying "within three years of January 2007.")

This is what the advertisement for the notes look like. The one above is for Pinnacle Notes 10. Right at the bottom it lists the reference entities Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, SingTel and Temasek. None of entities have had a credit event but the notes are now worthless. The underlying securities were not bonds of Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore etc but a basket of toxic waste CDOs. If this is not mis-selling what is?

Temasek looks likely to have lost its entire S$400m (US$270m) investment in ABC Learning Centres, the recently-collapsed Australian childcare provider, and there are growing concerns that the fund may have to help bail out the Marina Bay Sands casino project in Singapore as owner Las Vegas Sands creaks under a mountain of debt.

But the rapid demise of ABC Learning, which is Australia's largest childcare provider, shows that Temasek's poor investment decisions are not limited to the banking sector. Temasek bought into ABC in May last year at a punchy A$7.30 a share and the stock soon headed south as the outlook for the over-hyped operator deteriorated. The shares were suspended at 54 cents each in August but equity investors are likely to lose everything after ABC went into administration because of mounting financial problems.

Do I have Prostate Cancer ??

PSA stands for prostate-specific antigen

PSA test results report the level of PSA detected in the blood. The test results are usually reported as nanograms of PSA per milliliter (ng/mL) of blood. In the past, most doctors considered PSA values below 4.0 ng/mL as normal. However, recent research found prostate cancer in men with PSA levels below 4.0 ng/mL (2). Many doctors are now using the following ranges with some variation:

* 0 to 2.5 ng/mL is low.
* 2.6 to 10 ng/mL is slightly to moderately elevated.
* 10 to 19.9 ng/mL is moderately elevated.
* 20 ng/mL or more is significantly elevated.

There is no specific normal or abnormal PSA level. The higher a man’s PSA level, the more likely it is that cancer is present.

A high PSA level has been linked to an increased chance of having prostate cancer. However, a high PSA level does not mean that you definitely have prostate cancer. A high PSA level only identifies patients at higher risk of having prostate cancer. People at higher risk may need to have more tests.

In the Subordinate Court _Uncle Herby"s Dog Training Center

I had problems with Herby’s Dog Training Center . I took them to the small claims court and won (by default judgment) $600 compensation plus $15 disbursements costs on 24 Sept 2008

Judgment is entered against a non-appearing party. Heavy rain and traffic jam is not a good cause for the respondent NOT having attended the hearing.

However before I could enforce the order I received NOTICE OF HEARING OF APPLICATION TO SET-ASIDE –ORDER on 21 October 2008 . Reason given by Respondent was :-
“ I was late because I was caught in a Traffic Jam. Raining heavily “

Come on, We all reside in Singapore I braved the rain and attended the hearing after waiting for more than an hour.

Are you saying … Judgment is entered against a non-appearing party after a month down the road you can file NOTICE of hearing to set –aside-Order ??

Such lame excuses are a mere waste of Court time and country resources.

Going Blind ??

I'm feeling "corpsy" last couple of days. Seeing one doctor after another.Being sick is no fun ...especially when you have problem with your dammed eyes.

On Tuesday 4 November went to Chang Clinic ,1 Jalan Anak Bukit #B1-08 (Bukit Timah Plaza)
The Doctor gave me Maxolon (anti-nausea) injection .Was it a tumor ??

Still feeling unwell so on Saturday 8 November I decided to see any eye specialist - Dr.Cheah Way Mun(THE EYE CENTRE) at Mount Elizabeth.Ws there at 9am and left the dammed clinic at 12 noon. The Doctor say I have "damaged" nerves around my eyes. He gave me Nevramin Injection hopefully will assist the healing of the damaged nerves.
