Wishing all a Happy Easter Day !

It's a weekend of DEATH, BIRTH & REBIRTH . What a coincidence ! While Christians around the world mark Good Friday to-day , the Chinese have begun paying their respect to the dead . Hmmm.. I have yet to go to Mt Vernom Columbarium . Both my parents were cremated thus I have no grave to sweep or go .

Meanwhile, yesterday Christians starting preparing for Good Friday ,when they commemorate Jesus Christ's death with masses and midnight vigils. On this Sunday ,Jesus is said to have risen from the dead .

To-day 's not just a special day for Christians . It's also the birthday of Kuan Yin, the goddess of Mercy . The coincidence is rather rare .We have to wait for another 20 years before these two important religious date ( Good Friday and Kuan Yin's birthday ) coincide again .

I am CUNTFUSED as am a misfit Roman Catholic , A Kuan Yin devotes also . Many don't believe that I was a Roman Catholic before . Am searching for my batispism certificate and shall upload shortly .

In Singapore 6/4/2007 .. Parish Priest washes the feet of 12 church members . I shall ask Amanda to have my feet wash as am a sinner.

Easter should be celebrated as the religious holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the son of God.

Traditions associated with the festival survive in the Easter Rabbit a symbol of fertility, and in colored Easter Eggs, originally painted with bright colors to represent the sunlight of spring.

Easter is at the end of the Lenten season, which covers a forty-six-day period that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends with Easter. The Lenten season itself comprises forty days, as the six Sundays in Lent are not actually a part of Lent. Sundays are considered a commemoration of Easter Sunday and have always been excluded from the Lenten fast. The Lenten season is a period of penitence in preparation for the highest festival of the church year, Easter

Holy Week, the last week of Lent, begins its with the observance of Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday takes its name from Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem where the crowds laid palms at his feet. Holy Thursday commemorates the Last Supper, which was held the evening before the Crucifixion. Friday in Holy Week is the anniversary of the Crufixion, the day that Christ was crucified and died on the cross.

Holy week and the Lenten season end with Easter Sunday, the day of resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In Singapore , Nepal-born Lama Phuntsok Rinpoche now in Singapore . He is only four but a crowd of 300 devotees seek his blessings. He is the reincarnaton of a well-know spiritual teacher,Gesge Lam Konchog,who taugh Vajrayana Buddhism around the world before his death in 2001 .

• His birth astrology stated very clearly that this child is not ordinary and is the manifestation birth of one very highly realized lama from the Southern direction.
