My Inner thoughts

The blog plots the blogger’s personal journey through time. It records the personal growth, the levels of maturity the blogger goes through, and the myriad ways by which the blogger has learned to express the thoughts. The number of daily hits has no bearing on this. So, if you are a blogger with zero visitors, should you worry? No worries Mate! No, you need not worry as long as you don’t lose your most important reader.....you yourself !! WTF

I complain a lot. I know. I'm sorry.

But every now and then I realize how lucky I am to live in such a modern world that I have all these things to complain about. I'm just thankful I live in a world where I can type my thoughts in this blog . Briefly, Gee and her mother is at war with me when I politely told her most favored elder brother’s son that I might not be able to the “master of Ceremony “ at his wedding reception as I will be in Melbourne at the time of his reception . Why forced me?? Am I obligated to perform such duty?? What matter most in Life?? Certainly it is happiness:-“doing the things that you love doing yeah” . We have to set our objective and goal. My family, children are my top priority right. Am not self-centered!

People created GOD because they needed something to believe in, something to make them think that somewhere, someone is that perfect one. I know am not perfect and will never be one. I seek no sympathy or mercy. Pardon me if am rude in this instance. Thank you .

you can’t teach old dog new tricks.

They say that old habits die hard.

They should just SHUTUP

Motivating our next generation?

I read in the papers that elite school in Singapore is trying to promote “fame” producing PM or top entrepreneur or even future “Lee Kuan Yew”. I have never seen “top schools encouraging moral behavior associated with fame. What a shame! Can we blame our younger generation for being self-centered when school promote self-centeredness ?? We may be first world standard in terms of economy , law and order , and cleanliness .But we should remember that there is more to a more civilized society , the first and most important is empathy and compassion for our fellow beings.

It saddened me to read about this old man Mr.Tan Boon Lam, 76 (featured in my blog below), who had been surviving on oatmeal porridge supplied by a friend in Singapore. School should encourage filial piety and not promoting “fame”

According to Asian tradition, filial (hsiao) piety 孝顺 was the primary duty of all Children. Being a filial son/daughter meant complete obedience to one's parents during their lifetime and--as they grew older--taking the best possible care of them.

A brother is a friend given by Nature.
As youngsters they may seem like arch enemies at times, but as they grow older the ties that bind become as strong as the love between them.

Ngee Ann Polytechnic (义安理工学院), in Singapore, was founded in 1963 as Ngee Ann College. It was subsequently renamed as Ngee Ann Technical College in 1968. Studied~ Diploma Mechanical Engineering ..For much of the second half of 20th century, student political activism occupied a special place in the history of Singapore. I've engaged in a good number of Activist debates etc . but was never a communist Activist. Tan Wah Piow was a former student leader .In 1976, he was condemned to one year in prison in a case where the principal witness against Tan was the leader of the official Trade Union of Singapore, Phey Yew Kok. Tan's 'infamy' stems from his student activism heydays during the 70s where he was jailed eight months for "inciting riots".Fearing for his safety, Tan fled Singapore in 1975 and sought asylum in United Kingdom. Later he was admitted to Oxford and studied law. Currently holding a UK passport, Tan is a leading human rights lawyer in London.

To the outside world, we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other's hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time.
