QING MING FESTIVAL & Happy Easter !!!

Tomorrow is Friday. It will be a good day. Why?

Because I choose to make it a good day.

I spend most of my time at home facing a computer. I read the news online, I email, do research, earn money, do my banking, and book my flights. etc.. All using a fxxckng computer. And with my career firmly in the IT line, I doubt things aren't gonna change for the better anytime soon. The sad fact is that I spent so much time on the computer that I don't know even how to lead a normal life without it anymore. It's bloody ridiculous.

IN THE SPOT LIGHT !!

A Gift FROM President Mahmoud Ahmadineja OF IRAN ..

``The great Iranian people and the Islamic republic, despite having the legal right to put these British sailors on trial, will pardon them,'' Ahmadinejad said. ``Their release will be given to the British population as a gift.'' WooW so understanding !

" On the occasion of the birthday of the great Prophet(Muhammed)..and for the occasion of the passing of Christ, I say the Islamic Republic Government and the Iranian people-will all powers and legal right to put the soldiers on trail-forgave those 15." he said, referring to the Muslim prophet's birthday last Saturday and Easter, which falls on Sunday ."

Dual Citizenship will affect security

April 5, 2007. MM Lee in Sydney

Allowing dual citizenship would have serious consequences for Singapore's security, as young men would be able to opt out of National Service . Mr.Lee had earlier observed, for instance that according to the latest census, there were now 50,000 Singapore-born people living in Australia.

So Just one for Now lor ....

MT VERNON Columbarium

Mount Vernon Columbarium is set to close down anytime soon. The ashes of the departed would then have to be move to Mandai or Yio Chu Kang.

One of the most important parts of Chinese culture (and one which has been all but forgotten in Western society) is the veneration and honoring of the dead. To honor your dead you must provide a long line of family, hence the importance of the family in Chinese culture. Among the offerings, "spirit money" (paper money) is often burnt. It is a Chinese belief the dead will receive this paper money when they are burned. Nowadays, it is even common to see paper mobile phones, paper cars and even paper Nike sport shoes being burned.

Qing Ming , is the Chinese New Year for the departed.

Start date: 5 April 2007 End date: 30 April 2007
